Good value, idiosyncratic, smallish B&B-style hotel

This is an interesting place to review. On Google, there are some neutral or even negative reviews, but most of them seem to be from people who have missed the point of this place. It's budget accommodation, and some of those reviewers were expecting luxury 5-star hotels. So, you can safely ignore them in my opinion. Now onto the hotel: lovely warm welcome from the lady who runs reception. I spoke no Mandarin and she no English but we still managed to communicate thanks to her warmth and friendliness. The guy running the food truck outside was also very helpful. The location is beautiful and a short walk from the train station. The rooms are simple but comfortable. There are many signs in the room designed carefully, asking you to respect the property, basically. I had fun trying to translate them all with my amateur knowledge of hanzi. Bed very comfortable. Very relaxing town to visit. I would come here again for sure.

I have nothing to complain about this hotel. It was perfect for a solo traveller enjoying a simple holiday.

Great value for money - right in the centre of town, and very comfortable. The staff were lovely and very helpful. Almost a hostel atmosphere, in a good way.

There was no curtain around the bath, so it was hard not to get everything wet while showering.

Very friendly and attentive staff, the location is fantastic and the rooms are nicely decorated. We enjoyed the red bean soap after the hot spring soak.

The rooms are quite humid due to the rainy season.

Clean tidy room. Very nice decorations in the hotel. Breakfast was awesome. You can use their public bath after making a reservation. In our case we were the only ones during that time so we could even stay longer than the usual 1h. Great hospitality of the staff and very reasonable price.
